Fellow Coldstreamers, Ladies and Gentlemen, as you are all probably aware; in 2010 Perry Mason was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. This year, Perry has felt well enough to attend a few Branch Dinners which culminated in his appearance at the Blackpool 2011 Reunion. During this time he has been completely overwhelmed by the encouragement and support he has received from the entire Coldstream ‘family’ and this has given and continues to give him the determination to fight this dreadful disease. As a consequence and to show his appreciation and thanks he would like to raise funds for causes which are all very close to his heart and he knows that with the continued support of Coldstreamers past and present this is achievable. Perry's 3 nominated causes are :-

1. Macmillan Cancer Support

2. Coldstream Kids

3. The Old Coldstream Corps of Drums

Coldstreamers Reunion Blackpool 5th - 8th October 2012

The Coldstreamers re-union Weekend will again this year be held at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool. The Norbreck is Blackpool's largest hotel situated on Queen's Promenade. It has over 400 bedrooms with 20 adapted for disabled guests. They advertise their facilities as 'Second To None' and include: indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, solarium, whirlpool spa and cinema. It has an enormous car park. October is a quietish time in Blackpool with the holiday period having come to an end and the children back at school. This year the former Garrison Sar'nt Major, Perry Mason will be rolling into Town with his team to finalise his Marathon fund raising event for his chosen causes. The Star item up for auction will be his Gold Watch so ensure to bring along your cheque books, credit cards etc.
